Guidelines
Step 1: Take photos
You are to find and photograph a minimum of
2
scenes (per topic) that illustrate the following composition tips:
Leading lines
Contrast
Rule of thirds
Framing the subject
Texture
Depth
Filling the frame
Symmetrical
balance
Step 2: Upload photos, do not edit at this stage
Choose at least min 2 max 3 photos from each topic to share with your group.
Upload your images onto your website (composition) . Label each photo, include composition technique(s) you were trying to achieve.
Step 3: Choose best photo from each topic
In your group you will discuss and share your images.
Choose 1 image per topic
Edit or enhance the image
Print each image (share cost)
Get each photo laminated or stick to coloured card for display
Step 4: Classroom exhibition and competition
put your photos up on a wall in the media area create a title and think about presentation
each group will go and view other group photos, (have someone who is willing to write notes)
in your group you will discuss the merits of the overall presentation and explain which presentation your group liked
select an image that best fits a compositional technique and also explain your reasons.
Step 5: Critiquing and comparing your work with others
Write 20 sentences about what you learned while participating in this task. (
under your composition photos on your website).
